SUNRISE TO MOONRISE - A DAY IN ARCHES
As I stepped from my truck in to the cold morning air at 6:40AM on February 26, 2010, I took
my first steps ever in a Utah national park. Despite our efforts to see the great parks and forests
of America, Utah had always eluded us. This visit would be brief, but at least I was finally here.

With only one day to look around, I wanted to make the most of my time. After watching the
sunrise at the south end of the park, I headed north where morning fog danced among the
rock towers. Later in the day, I returned to the park for some afternoon sightseeing, and an
evening photo shoot with a nearly-full moon rising over the Utah landscape.

It was as enjoyable a day as I can remember, a wonderful introduction to this scenic area.
