COLORADO SUMMER 2010 - PART I: THE SCENERY

This is a collection of images from two separate trips to the Colorado Rockies in the summer of 2010. These images are from scenic drives and short hikes, please see Part 2 for the summit photographs and longer hikes. Although I only visited Rocky Mountain National Park for one weekend this summer, it was a gorgeous mid-June weekend, and I have included several shots from that trip in this gallery. The majority of images are from our July visit to the Sawatch Range, where we stayed near Twin Lakes with easy access to Independence Pass and many local trails. Here is the scenery...
